Family Inclusion Network Outreach – Central coast Gosford

Programs for parents with a mental illness (parenting courses and programs)

FIN-NSW was developed to support families/parents that have children in out-of-home care (OOHC) or are at risk of losing their children through the child protection system. Parents with a mental illness make up a substantial proportion of these families. FIN-NSW provides information, support, advocacy and education to families and professionals alike. The main intake number is: 0402 520 330 (a return call can be made to low income earners to save costs). We believe that by supporting parents/families through the child protection process we are better equipping them to work in partnership with child protection workers; work towards having their children restored where possible; and to enhance their relationships with their children in OOHC.

The Central Coast Outreach Service provides court support, advocacy and peer support. Education sessions are also available for community and government organisations.
