COPMI - Children of Parents with a Mental Illness - Keeping families in mind

Research reports and papers

COPMI is committed to enhancing links between researchers and practitioners, sharing information about current research and in fostering the development of the evidence base in this field.

Read reports about working with children of parents with a mental illness in Australia.

GEMS ('Gateway to Evidence that MatterS')

GEMS provides a summary of recent Australian and international evidence-based research concerning children (aged 0-18 years) of parents with a mental illness, their parents and families.

Evidence and Evaluation

Many interventions for families where a parent has a mental illness are provided to families across Australia each year. However, very little hard evidence about the effectiveness of these interventions is available. Evaluating your intervention aims to address this gap.

The COPMI Clearinghouse

The COPMI Clearinghouse aims to share Australian research and project evaluations in the area of families where a parent has a mental illness.

MJA Open - COPMI Edition

In 2012 COPMI sponsored the MJA Open 'Parental mental illness is a family matter' as a supplement to the Medical Journal of Australia.
