The 'Keeping Families and Children in Mind' eLearning course supports learners to develop a family-sensitive approach when working with families where a parent has a mental illness.
This introductory course features six interactive learning modules that encourage learners to reflect and evaluate their current practice and to develop strategies to support children, parents, carers and families living in these environments.
It is estimated this course will take 6-10 hours to complete. (There are several video scenarios to watch - but you can take it at your own pace as it's accessible 24/7 online).
The Keeping Families and Children in Mind eLearning course is professionally endorsed by:
ACRRM: 30 PRPD points.
RACGP QI and CPD Program Category 1: 40 points.

Members of The Australian Psychological Society (APS) and Occupational Therapy Australia (OTA) can accrue Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours by participating in CPD activities that they determine to be relevant to their individual professional skills, learning plans and goals. These may be self-initiated. CPD activities do not need to be endorsed by the APS or OT Australia.
