Program Description

KidsCare is a group for 8-12 years olds who have a significant family member with a mental illness. The group meets once a month on a Saturday. The group has both an educational and social focus. Activities have included indoor rock climbing, movies, roller-skating, ice-skating and scienceworks.

Evaluation Information

A pre and post evaluation questionnaire and de-identifiable statistical data.

Evidence

The program is based on research, experience and a need that was identified from our existing groups for carers.

Any other information

There is no cost involved and we may be able to assist with transport.
