Program Description

Brighter Futures provides early intervention casework services to vulnerable families to prevent child abuse and neglect.

Evaluation Information

Program is being evaluated statewide by University of NSW

Evidence

National and international research shows that early intervention while children are young is more effective in preventing abuse and neglect and in strengthening families. Aspects of service delivery have been selected based on evidence here and overseas eg: Quality children's services, Parenting Programs (group based) and structured home visiting programs (including parenting programs delivered one-to-one)
