PANDA's Helpline is available in Australia from 9am to 7pm (AEST), Monday to Friday.
PANDA's Helpline provides vital support, information, referral and counselling to thousands of Australian parents and their families.
Callers do not need to have a diagnosis of antenatal or postnatal depression to make contact with the Helpline. PANDA is keen to support any new parent struggling during pregnancy or after the birth of their baby, as well as their partner, family and friends. PANDA is happy to receive calls from anyone who is concerned about how they or someone else if coping during pregnancy or after having a baby. Many partners ring the Helpline as well as extended family members and friends.
PANDA's telephone information, support and referral service is staffed by trained volunteers, professional counsellors and supervising staff. In keeping with PANDA's Mutual Support Self Help principles most of these volunteers on the Helpline have experienced perinatal depression and anxiety.
